THE DREAM FACTORY

Realizing the importance of knowing and following one’s dreams, and using her family as an example, Cass Warner is creating the non-profit organization, “The Dream Factory”, a place where dreams are discovered, renewed, rehabilitated and made to come true.

Cass says, “I feel not only the desire but also the responsibility to pass along the Warner Bros. philosophy of how they viewed every barrier encountered as an incentive to do the next thing in the pursuit and achievement of their dreams and visions.”

The underlying concept of The Dream Factory is to develop and demonstrate approaches that truly motivate our youth to “want to learn about, be interested in, and more understanding of their fellow man.”

In today’s society, the lack of student motivation to learn is one of the great ruins of the educational system.  Students who don’t understand and agree with why they’re even in school or studying a particular subject, are far too common.  Motivated students become true solvers of problems and creators of new knowledge (when there’s no apparent solution available).

The Dream Factory approach and philosophy will help individuals to find and understand their dreams and their life purposes.  Through “The Foundations of Brilliance Program” individuals will be assisted to align their purposes, talents and personalities so they are actively and successfully pursuing their dreams. Once this is clearly known to the individual, a step-by-step program is designed that will give them exactly what their next step of action is and the amount of time it should take them to get it done. These steps are followed until it’s completed.

As an example, through the making of films, students become competent in a particular area of filmmaking, and learn certain skills through the activities and products they create. Film has a magic to it, and it naturally makes them part of a team effort.  They, also, learn cooperative group skills that give them a taste of the excitement that comes in being part of a community effort.

"The Hero Next Door" series will be part of The Dream Factory’s Inspirational Library. Students go out into the community to find someone who is a stellar example of doing something to improve the quality of life.  Students then create a documentary that highlights those contributions.

The Library will also house interviews with accomplished people from all walks of life sharing what has been successful for them, as well as the barriers they have overcome, to get to where they are.  (Some of the interviews that have already been shot are of Cass interviewing actors Matthew McConaughey and Giovanni Ribisi.)
